Damon Seils is a member of the Carrboro Board of Aldermen. A native of Texas, he was born in the sweltering Rio Grande Valley in a hospital that no longer exists. He grew up in Austin, a small city that is no longer small. After attending college in Washington, DC, he studied literature in graduate school, where he read more about poetry than he read actual poems. Damon loves reading about poems and reading actual poems.
